Being Quiet
Today I am going to prove to you all that it is completely impossible for mew to be quiet on purpose….
2 months ago, I woke up at 5:00 in the morning, and decided that I was very hungry, so I started to go down the stairs, but of course because I had to be quiet, I tripped a little and fell down the stairs. Luckily I was OK, but unfortunately it was a lot of noise. Then I went to the kitchen. But I later realized I had to open the noisy closet in the laundry room. So I’m tip toeing across the hard wood floor, so I don’t make too much noise, But of course every step I take makes a creak on the floor. I finally get to the closet and open it very slowly and it makes a load creak. So then I get my cereal and walk to the counter to start preparing my bowl of Just Right cereal. But I have to open the cupboard, so I start to open the cupboard and the door thing falls down and lands on me. Crash Bang Boom.
Long story short I am not aloud to get up a 5:00 in the morning ever again!
Any ways I prove my point, and am resting my case.

Dwoing, that was such a GREAT post! I have the same problem since I get up so early, I have never yet found a way to be quiet in the morning and poor Grampa is used to it by now. I think he's actually grateful that he is deaf in one ear!

Haha, that's great.
It's always when you need to be quiet the most that you end up being the loudest.

lol! Same thing always happens to me. We get the kids to sleep, and I'll manage to set off every noise making toy I can step on trying to get out of their room quietly.

My question is, what is a teenager or almost teenager (sorry Dwoing, can't remember how old you are) doing out of bed at 5 am anyway. My two will sleep until noon on an early morning. What are you doing Duke? I need to do the same thing.

Perhaps Dwoing is a bit of a night person?

I think the thing is that her and I really only see each other twice/month (two weekends of every four) so I think we both try to make the most of it.
BTW, for every time I insult or make fun of her, I tell her I love her twice. I admit that I make fun of her but only to protect her. The thought of her going to school or out in the world, just to be beaten down by some snot-nosed, big mouthed, krass little bed-wetter is more than I can bear. I think I've given her to tools to not only stand up for herself but to shrug off the insecurities that some of her peers will have.
Also, for every insult I throw her way, I usually recieve two back. :?
My favorite burn by Dwoingie:
We were at a restaurant a few years ago and I was having one of those huge @ssed gourmet restaurant burgers. You may know the kind, something like 20 lbs of beef, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc., and the sloppiest dressing in the world. Well I took a huge bite and could feel some of the sauce on my cheek so the following ensued:
Me: Dwoingie, do I have something on my face?
Dwoing: Ya you do (points to a spot on her own cheek that mirrors the spot on mine). Ya dad, you have a little spot of ...... ummm .... ugly but the big problem is that it's spreading.
It's not often I get burned to the point of no return but that one left me speechless.
