Back to School
I'll be here even less then I am lately since I start school on february 2nd. I still need 2 credits for my high school diploma (I was an idiot for dropping out of school back then) and i'm going to go get it. i'll have it in 6 weeks from the 2nd. I probably will go further and take some college courses after that.
I just wanted you all to know why i'll be next to never here starting from the 2nd of next month.

CONGRATULAIONS on the school part. I know it's something which will make you feel good and know you are setting a good example for your future generations. You can get a lot of online help...if you need any links or anything....let me know.
SAD about you being here less.
If you'll send me my password for International Gatherings....I'll try to post on there to help out while you are busy. I read around on there but can never get signed in. It's under 'Merika'....but I don't know what password you gave me while we had the probs with me joining.

thank you. i did do some correspondence a few years ago and got most of my credits that i needed but i burnt myself out. i did 6 courses in 2 months. I'll wiz right through the 2 courses i need. i need a 12 english and an 10 or 11 math. not hard for me to do at all. If i did this correspondence, i'd probably get it done a lot quicker. LOL!
I'm thinking of maybe taking an online college course or two after this. the reason i can do this now is that gerry will be home because he's going to be going in for surgery on his right bisep. they need to anchor it again. so, he'll be home to be mr. gramma to erika while i'm gone.
I'll PM you your password. thanks merika.

Congratulations, STAR!!! I so envy you, it's wonderful that you've decided to get your high school diploma. Did you think about the field that you'd like to study further while in college?

Star, that is wonderful. And it should not be too hard for you. As for "lack of ambition"? Nonsense! Our lives are complicated enough, and not everyone follows the same path in life. Nothing wrong with that.

thanks everyone! I go and register today.
I'd like to work with troubled youth. maybe in a teen pregnant home, group home or residential program home. Might take me a couple years to get there but that's what i'm thinking of doing.
I'm tired of working in the business industry. i've been an entrepreneur and a manager and i don't want to do those things anymore. it brings me no rewards at the end of the day. I'd love to be able to steer the young in the right direction. that would be a very rewarding career for me.
we'll see when i start looking into college courses. who knows, something else might grab my interest.

Sorry I'm late with the Congratulations, Star; I JUST read the post! I'll miss you on International Gathering, too, but you can be sure I'll be posting my usual nonsense as I've been doing...
Good luck with your continued education...if you have time...post on how your courses are going...l'il ole busybody here HAS to know...

well, i just got back from registering. i originally needed a 12 english and 10 math but, i don't have to take those since i have a 9 math and 11 english! WOOHOO!! those would've been sooooo boring for me so, I'll be taking the microsoft word, exel and powerpoint computer class in the morning (which i will ace since i use those all the time LOL) and a psychology in the afternoon. I have a sociology alread that i did correspondence. Those psychology classes will get me into college for the two year course to become a youth councelor. if that's what i choose to do. I have so many skills that go in all directions that i have a wide choice of fields i could go into. that's scary for me. I want to make sure i choose the one thing that will make me happy and look forward to going to work every day.
mid march, i'll have my high school diploma!! WOOHOO!! it's amazing how much that little piece of paper holds you back from everything. they do a whole graduation thing there too with pictures, cap and gown, the whole works!
I start on the 3rd, not the 2nd (I was misinformed when i called) and am really looking forward to it.
