Back to College on the Internet....

Has anyone taken any college courses from the Internet Colleges? Just wondering what you think of them. Right now I work a full time job so I would need to take classes at night. I would much rather be able to get home from work and just click on my puter than travel to a campus. Is that taking the easy road and being lazy? Ughhhhh

I've known several people in the military who worked on their degrees by using online schools. I can't see what the difference would be...as long as it was a course which is book/knowledge based rather than discussion/ hands on based. It's a great way to save both money and time.

Are you planning on using Phoenix University or something similar?

I THINK ONLINE COLLEGE IS AWESOME FOR THOSE OF US WHO WANT TO GET A DEGREE BUT CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY GO TO CLASS.

I thought about doing that when I go back to school in september - but I need the social interaction. I think I would go nuts doing it by myself.

I don't think I'd have the patience to do any type of schooling now. Of course the only things I'm interested in are webmaster related now so I can pick that up online better than I can in any classroom.

Yes Merika I have been leaning toward University of Phoenix. I'll just sign up for a few classes and see how it goes. If I don't like it I can always go back to nightschool on campus. Ummm Weiser I don't need anymore social interactions I got plenty with all the voices in my head hehe (joking) :smileyparty:

I have a friend who's sister is a teacher for Phoenix and happens to be located in the city where I live. He is a retired Army Major and speaks VERY highly of the college. Other than the social interaction, which Weiser brought up and is very important to alot of people, it's the perfect way to get a degree. It would certainly be my personal choice.

Again, some of the online 'colleges' are hokey and second rate....but Phoenix isn't. They are fully accredited and a degree from there is respected.
