Appropriate apparel for work
What do you think is appropriate apparel for work?
Every spring and summer the Company has a difficult time enforcing appropriate apparel. No bare midriff or cleavage showing, and yet that rule is constantly broken.
Do you think a person should be sent home or suspended or is that too harsh?

Personally, I don't mind showing a little cleavage now and then - thanks Lord, we don't have any dress code.
However personally, I think I'd be a tad bothered if I had a collegue of mine constantly showig her breasts and legs - I hate sexually agressive people, plus, the workplace isn't the best place of expressing this part of one's personality.
As for getting suspended - wow, that's harsh. But if the person knew the rules beforehand and had been warned, I guess that gives good ground for it.
At my company I can very well come in a suit as well as in jeans and sniekers. I like that, it's so tiring to constanly dress up. Plus it's no fun at all.

There is a fine line between sexy chic and trashy as long as it isn't crossed it's ok.
But hard to tell one person that there cleavage is approiprate and another's is not.

My own opinion is that it's a matter of wearing the cleavage . Maybe it's all in the attitude, after all :!: .

I do but there not quite short enough. Perhaps if the leg went a bit lower than the waist band, then I'd be happy.

I think to much of a big deal is made of it. There are some people who will take it to the extreme though, it should be dealt with on an individual basis mostly IMO. Not that you would pick on some people and not others, just deal with the problems as they pop up.
