Anyone else watch American Idol?

My kids love that show. They are in my bedroom piled in my bed while I'm trying to post......... :?

Every year I say I'm not going to watch the whole season....but the kids get me hooked during the try-outs and then I get favorites. I end up wanting to watch to see what happens to them. Last year....I was rooting for Carrie Underwood from day one. I was so glad when she won.

If nothing else....it's the one show I can enjoy with the kids.

The original is aired here. Apparently the lack of any real talent is original as well - even people in the finals (which are in these weeks) can't sing. Even my gf testified that (and she certainly knows what singing is). So I am not missing anything.

Hell, I'd even prefer passing out drunk in Ibiza instead of being forced to watch Idols,

As you go along....actually many of them have quite a bit of real singing talent. It's the auditions which are hilarious. I know where some funny clips are online.....but I can't post them on here due to the sites they are on. I'll email a couple to you.

And if she was at your house....like my kids are at mine...you TOO would end up having to watch it.

Tonight I said I was online and wasn't going to watch. Next thing I knew....they were in MY room instead of the living room (or their rooms for that matter) turning it on....forcing me to watch. Kids like it when you share their goofy shows.

Actually, if she's watching something I don't want to, I just bury my head in the computer. She does the same thing when I'm watching something she's not particularily interested in.

I've never watched it because I didn't want to get hooked on ANOTHER show...I'm desperately trying to watch Television less and less, LS has taken over my desire to watch TV as much...

How can you think she doesn't have talent? I think she's great! Not only that.... she's just beautiful.

I liked Bo too. I watched a special on him on some entertainment biography channel one night. He's a really nice guy and I think he'll go on to record some good music.

I like the auditions. It's amazing how many people really think they can sing. The funniest one this year was that Zach guy who looked like a GIRL. Oh...and the guy with the coasters....what a nut.

that coaster guy...oh man. did you see the one where simon walked off the show? i missed it cause i was at work. what happened? that zach girl was just wrong.
