Default for any Canadians on here who SKI!

Grade 5 Snowpass by Nissan Canada Only
https://www.snowpass.org/pass-registerNew.cfm?Lang=En (application form)

http://www.snowpass.ca/ (Information about the program)

What’s a SnowPass? Check it:

• Up to three free lift tickets at each of the participating ski/snowboard areas in Western Canada, Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada. That means you could ski/ride for free HUNDREDS of times this winter for FREE!

• You can also get awesome deals on lessons and rentals at various ski areas . If you don’t ski or board yet, it’s a great way to learn.

• Want the same sweet deal next year? Most ski/snowboard areas will give you an extra one-day lift ticket for next winter when you’re in grade six.

Every kid in Canada should get the chance to try skiing or snowboarding. That’s why every year, grade fives get to do it for free with a SnowPass. Pretty good deal, eh? For full rules and regulations, http://www.snowpass.ca/index.cfm?dsp...iew&PageL1ID=3.

NOTE: If you live in Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Provinces) you will receive an Eastern SnowPass. If you live in Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Territories) you will receive a Western SnowPass

I've never got to ski. I have no idea how. I sure wish I could.

I went skiing once in college and did the bunny slope. The schnopps spiked hot chocolate on the ride to and from the ski resort made the trip. Skiing isn't my thing.

I think these sort of programs are happening because the ski seasons (at least here in BC) have really been crappy for the past 4 or 5 years. I wouldn't be suprised if all ski hills were experiencing 2/3 or less, of their regular season lift tickets.

Considering the gas prices...I think a great deal of these larger tourist spots will have to offer perks. Disney and Universal are doing the same thing. People, especially Europeans, being hesitant to fly will also add to their lack of revenue. Every little thing that happens effects the world's economy in a big way because it has a trickle down effect. And what is going on now is not pretty or very comforting.
