For all you women out there... Merry Women's Day!!!
8-th March is one big event in my country. So I wanted to tell all women on this board "HAPPY WOMEN's DAY!!!!!" and enjoy this day to the fullest!!!
It's a tough job being a girl today, so spoil yourself today!!!

The sad thing is, you are so right Twinkle.
Where I live, it is not celebrated, and even barely mentioned. This has been the same for years. Only some ritualistic mentioning by the bosses of the trade-unions. Wish it were otherwise.
If I remember correctly, the event that led to International Women's Day happened in the US. I thought it was a fire, in a factory where only women worked. A lot of these women died, in a fire.

Thanks Twinks....even though until I read about it on another post the other day....I didn't know such a thing existed. We have Mother's Day...but I think a Woman's Day which signified the liberalization of so many women during a communistic era....is just wonderful.

Mom sent me a text message at 7 o'clock t be sure she's the first to wish it to me. Poor thing, no one celebrates it around here!
Back home is crazy, we would go out- girls only, would make dinner reservations and mom would spoil us rotten.
At school boys would bring flowers and ... I think I've already told you about that. IT's very nice, very special.
