Secure Ortego Mission Premise

Secure Ortego was chosen for my first mission due to it's somewhat challenging geographic nature to infiltrate once taken by an opposing force. I felt that it offered several easily defended open areas backed by mountainous regions that do not allow for easy attack from an opposing force.

Ortego can actually serve as a hub for all operations based on Southern Sahrani and is easily re-supplied by air and sea.

Our story begins as the US Forces withdraw from Southern Sahrani as was the premise behind this games original concept seen here.

Secure Ortego can easily be considered a single mission of the first mission in an ongoing campaign to secure Southern Sahrani. It may also be a main objective or a side objective meant to keep US Forces busy while Oppositional Forces concentrate on "unknown objectives".

US Intel is horribly inaccurate due to limited resources as you will see in early missions (assuming there is more to come).

I thought it pertinent to add that the hidden premise behind the actual gameplay is this:

2. Realism
3. n00b defeating


I also think generous doses of player uncertainty will add to all the above elements.
