Update on my life

Well I'm back from the ether for now that I have a bit of free time. Hurricane Rita was crazy and it's been crazy ever since then. Just to speak of it a bit, we made it through alright, we have about 50k in damage, but insurance is being awesome to us and not giving us any problems. Repairs have just kept us busy lately.

My work has been shut down as well, I've been transferred to the Beaumont store about 60 miles west of here and all was good with that for about 2 weeks. Anyway, the reason I have some free time is because I quit my job. Now I've got about a month to find something else before I'm out of cash. Work is plentiful right now though. Just about everyplace in town is hiring because people just decided not to return to work after the hurricane. I've already got a pretty certain job lined up as a sales conselour for Cingular Wireless.

I'm glad to hear you are allright; all of you deserve to have a good Christmas season after everything you've been through!! Some of us just can't imagine how difficult it must have been and still is...

I'm just glad the unemployment rate down here is in the negatives. It seems people can't get enough employees. Even Burger King here is paying $9 an hour, plus you get an extra $250 a month for the first 6 months you work with them as a signing bonus.
