Speaking of Family
How often during the year do you get to visit with yours? Is it enough or do you wish time or distance allowed you more?

it's a given that i see my family at every special occasion during the year. I see them in between that also on a regular basis. I used to live right around the corner from my parents house and it was great. now that i live 1 1/2 hours away, i don't get to see them as much and i miss them and they miss me too. They do make the trip down about once a month though to see us. My one brother lives in the same city as i do so i see them all the time. My other 2 brothers i see less because they live in other cities.
I'm a family person so i love to be around family.

I really don't have a lot of respect for most of my family. I think it may have been the fact that booze played a major role with all of them while we were growing up. Most of my cousins are slightly less than normal similar to myself.

I see my family usually once a month when one of us, usually ME, makes the 2 hour drive. Once the kids leave home.....I'll move much closer since I want to be around to help and take care of them once they are older. They are in their late 60's now and have few health problems....once that changes though...I want to make sure I'm there.
My brother also lives close to them and most of my Dad's family. I don't know my Mom's family since they all live in Germany and I dont' remember them.

Wouldn't it be great if you could hook up with them Duke....so you could take a world tour and only have the expense of the plane ticket?

I have a super close fam. My BF and I live next door to my Mom so we see her almost every day. My grandparents, aunts, and uncles 1-2 times a month. I talk to most of my cousins weekly.
My BF sees his sis daily (they work tog) and we go to his parents every wk or 2.

I'd love to but I'm not even sure if my parents know who they are.

That would be wonderful Fayebelle!! I love close knit families. I rarely stay in touch with anyone much besides my immediate family. It's sad when cousins marry, have babies and die and the rest don't even know.

I don't know if I could tolerate my parents every day, well, maybe my mom.
