saying one thing and doing another

My friend had her birthday over the weekend, she told me that she hates birthdays and doesnt want anything or want me to act differently. So I didnt...then today she was like you didnt get me anything or buy me drinks or anything. I was like you told me not to. I should have known better, i think this is a man/woman difference type thing.

True. The thing is you feel you cannot do it right, and you always end up doing the "wrong" thing then. Very frustrating.

Buy a few minor things, like drinks. And you cannot be accused of being a cheapa$$.

No one means it when they say don't get me anything for my birthday or Christmas. It's a dumb phrase meaning absolutely nothing.

yeah i realized it after, i actually was gonna open a tab and let her get drinks off of it, but they wouldtn let me open a tab so i kinda forgot to buy her drinks. How she handled it didt work though, i stopped talking to her because im too emabarassed to see her.

like i said i should have known better, i just didnt expect it from her, she isnt usually like that. It really doesnt matter at this point, i cant do anything, it would be worse if she was my gf, then i wouldnt be getting any for awhile, but because she isnt its not like there are any repercussions for it.
