OK Check it out my friends parents just put 60K in to a CD, personally I think that is a stupid uneducated financial decision and would like to show them how they can reposition that and make an immediate 10% plus index there money to the S&P, or NASDQ and make up to 12% a year tax deffered wile triple compunding, and they will never lose there principal

( sorry if I am getting to technical) sp? but this is my job

I know that the product I am speaking of will generate more funds and they will be happy with the product. I told there daughter about it and gave her a prospectus of my product but she won't follow thru as much as I will, I want this sale, it will be easy, quick, efficiant and will put 6k in my pocket

but as a rule of thumb I don't sell to friends and faimly unless they approach me and these folks have not.

Do you think I should attempt this sale? I don't really know them but I am friends with there daughter? :? and there grandson is my son's best friend? I just don't want to come off as one of those pushy sales people.

I just started a new job (well monday it's finalized and we figure out Salary - Comission is 33%) and you can be damned sure I am going to hit up family. 1. The products will save them a ton of cash (energy saving products - they own restaurants) 2. I need cash.

Wieser has a point Stone....and this is it: In the sales world....people who worry about those things don't have the heart of a true salesman. It takes keeping business as business regardless of relationship to the person you are selling to.

Some people are real good at that...such as my brother....which is why he makes lots of money no matter what he is selling. I'm NOT like that...and couldn't make SPIT trying to sell anything.

As long as you believe in your product, you can sell to anyone. If you don't believe in your product, you will do horribly. That's the way I look at it anyways. I'm never going to be one of those skeezy salesmen.

True. In Stone's case though....she is weighing the product against a friendship. Some people can make that call more easily than other people. They are the ones who end up making great salesmen.

So pass it by your friend first SH if your concerned. Hell, give your friend a small chunk of the pie and she'll likely help you to close the deal.
