POssesive Wives....

I'm sure all of us have known at least 1 possessive wife.....
you know...the woman that marries a relative and then tries to take them away from you???

How would you react if this happened to you?

Are YOU that kind of person??

I was never a possessive wife. family is important. I would never be possessive. There isn't anyone on either side of our families that are that way.

What could one do if your sibling married someone like that? There really isn't much you about it. I wouldn't get in the middle of it unless there was spousal abuse happening.

Isis.....I know who you are referring to and it IS a problem when a wife is somewhat jealous or possessive of her husband to the point of not wanting to share him with his family.

There really isn't anything you can do about it other than hope the family member notices on their own and makes the changes.

Since only my kids post on here.....this is the problem. My oldest son has a few individual things he has always done with Isis and Sn00py, mainly Sn00py, as a surrogate father. His wife now feels the need to 'accompany' them instead of letting him spend the time with the kids alone. It's only a few times a year....like the Monster Truck Pulls coming up. I can't see why a pregnant woman wants to go in the first place. Sn00py isn't even looking forward to it now.

I don't know whether to mention it to her or just let it go.

I think that these special events that your oldest did with your other 2 kids should be left that way, special. That's a tough call merika. If you mention it to her, you risk hurting her feelings thus creating even more problems. If you don't, then you're left with angry feelings yourself. I honestly don't know what I would do with this problem. Do you think your oldest son would be offended if you talked to him instead?

No....he's got his head too far up her butt for that one. The truth is, he is HER husband and belongs to her/their family. Once the baby is born things may go back to normal or keep changing. I guess life is all about accepting the changes with grace. It sure is hard sometimes! LOL!

I can imagine how hard it must be to keep your mouth shut at times. It would be hard for me to do that too! LOL! but, on the other hand, you don't want to become that mother in law from hell either. LOL!
