Pics of the new place
Front yard/Private drive:
Back yard:
Porch/ Part of house:
The two 40 acre parcels on both sides of the drive are owned by my Dad and brother. They bought it as future investment for a few years down the road. Till then.. we can enjoy it ALL! Mine is the 10 acres and house and barns area. I got a free life lease and will inherit it in the end or when they sub-divide and sell the other two portions.
The kids were a little put out about having to move until they saw the place. It'll be quite the change from living in a city....but I think they will really enjoy being closer to my family and having space to roam around.
I'm thinking a dune buggy four wheeler...would be just the thing a kid needs out there!!
I'm moving in about 2 months....so get your airplane tickets ready and come visit!!!!

It IS huge! The house is around 3000 square feet....I don't know how to convert to metric or whatever you guys use for size. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom....how cool is that? The barns also have flooring and full electric.
It's located about 20 mins from the University of Florida (Gainesville) off from a one red light dinky a$$ed town called Newberry. The high school is a little SUCKY....but my oldest son graduated from there and went on to get his Masters....so it can't be all bad. They just don't offer as many electives as they do in the bigger schools.
Ofcourse, that's offset with a school area which has a minimum of drug problems and the never ending fighting which goes on in the schools the kids are attending now. Everyone knows everyone and they all attend the same church and most are related in one way or another. It's not the lifestyle for everyone....but for me....it's HOME! I grew up always having lots of land surrounding the house.....living in the city is just driving me insane.

Listen, if your kid is smart, he may go to school in Romania and still turn well, LOL !
Main point: if you're happy, then everthing else will fall into place.
I'd kill to have such a house, Merika! May you master it well and be disgustingly happy inside!

Wow that is very impressive MERIKA!! I wanted to move to a northern part of Florida for a very long time, now I do again We close on our house SEP 6th and are paying 250K for a VERY SMALL house, it's only 1,355 sq feet realestate here is horrid :?
I am sooo happy you have a place to call home and the kids will adjust soon... I am GLAD you are leaving the city I remember last year all the problems you we're having.
I Bet CRACKER will love all that running space

I got a couple of real nice barns we could fix up for you! HAHA! Unless a person is married... they very seldom chose to live that isolated. It's not the lifestyle to everyone....just a few of us who happen to like living like a recluse.
Duke...the first thing I worried about was the internet connection. I don't want to have to go AOL or MSN. I imagine the phone company has DSL. I'm going to check on that today. Dial up would feel archaic....but I guess there wouldn't be enough people on the line to tie it up....LOL! My brother uses PeoplePC....which doesn't look all bad either.
Stone....you'll have to bring the kids up for a visit. I think coming up 27 it wouldn't be but about a 3 hour drive. I have a baby crib and all that Ally can use.

This house isn't as pretty as the one you guys are buying. If you want me to...I'll post the pic of it. I think it's wonderful and has a really big yard. You get what you pay for. You are getting settling into a big city....I'm moving to a cow field. HAHA!

Hey you can start a shroom business ( jkjkjk) I would rather live in a cow feild. I would love to come visit you guys sometime, Greg loves to go look at property. We plan on buying our house as an investment then buy somewhere in the boonies where we can get a much bigger house. Bigger is Better.
ANYWAYS I am so happy for you will the kids have to change schools?
