A Parent's Guide to Internet Safety :!:

1. Installing software like NetDog Filter (http://www.netdogsoft.com), NetDog will block all porn websites quitely in the background when your children're on the Internet, protect your children from stumbling into pornography by accident.

2. Make it a condition of use that your children must always ask your permission before using the internet.

3. Teach your children to never give out personal information online including pictures of anyone.

4. Teach your children to think before they click: With whom are they chatting or e-mailing, what are they saying and how are they saying it? Will the person on the other end know they are joking?

5. Teach your children to follow the golden rule of cyberspace: Don’t do anything online that you wouldn’t do in real life!

Those are good rules to follow. My kids are 20 and 18 so a little late for me but mine haven't been bad when it comes to the internet. Thanks for the pointers for those with younger kids.
