Default Niece's and Tattoo's

While visiting at one of my sister's house yesterday we were chatting around the table and my 15 year old niece comes out with she is getting a tattoo as soon as she is 16. She also tells us in detail what the tattoo is going to be (some type of cross with 2 leprauchauns) don't ask cause I don't know lol I sat there not knowing what to say. My sister (her mother) just sat there and let it go over her head. Later when we were in the kitchen I asked her how she could just let that go and she said she thought my niece would forget about it. From the way my niece was talking I don't think that is going to be the case. I told my sister I would lock her in her room. I know she is not my daughter but I would hate to see her do something that she could come to regret in later years. Am I being to old fashioned?

i dont think the tattoo is something that she will regret, and if she does they can use lasers to remove it. Id have a bigger problem if the tattoo was something racy, but its not. id prolly tell her to wait until she is 18.

A nice young man at work showed me his tattoo and it was huge and I asked him if it hurt when it was put on, and he said "it hurt like H*ll"!!!! So why do people go through needless pain for piercings and tattoos? :?

I remember when I made an appointment to get my ears pierced, I was over forty then, and the jeweller wasn't in and I was going to bolt for the door, and the customer service lady (who was a friend of mine) stood in front of the door and wouldn't let me out until he came back...that is my only piercing; I shudder to see all those earrings all the way up people's ears, must hurt like the dickens to get those done as well...

Your aunt is clever.

My sister was 100% determined to get a tatoo. Of course, I was 100% against it. I had the inspiration not to scream at her (not too loudly, anyway). Tried persuading her, tried talking her out of it, I had no success at all..

Then I thought I'd at least find her the best and cleanest tattoo place in town - I scared the heck out of her with the deseases she can get, if she's not extra carefull about where she gets it done, as I feared she'd just jump at the occasion, the first time she could.

Anyway, we visited a few places, then she went at the sea side, got a new bf, changed the people she went out with a bit and by the end of the summer she was a little "off" the idea.

She never got the tattoo.

It's very important not to prohibit things to teenagers, otherwise they'll go straight ahead and do it just to prove that they can. That's what I think.

I have friends who have some body piercings and I'm told that some are really painful. I have my ears pierced and thats it. Tattoo's can be painful if they are done over a bony area. Does anybody have any tattoo's?

His lower back by his belt...very innocent area for a mature happily married woman to view

I don't have any BA....if I were younger though....I'm sure I would. My daughter wanted one when she turned 16 too....but I had her watch one of those Tat shows on TV and she quickly changed her mind. Pain isn't her thing. (Even though a bust of Nefertiti on her butt might've been interesting! LOL!)

Since most young people get them these days, I doubt there will be a big stigma in the years to come as far as having one or more. I actually think most of them are sexy and interesting looking. BUT....I do think it's best for a young person to wait before chosing a pattern they may regert later.

Every area on any man could be considered safe from a "mature happily married woman."

Lower back, huh...this seems to be a weird place to me since I've only seen women with this area tatooed. How sure are you that it was a guy?

I'm a-thinkin' Luba knows the diff between a guy and a girl. However, I agree in that few men get tats in that particular area unless they are doing a large pic on their backs.

OMG this is FREAKIN' HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! (literally)

The process is relatively simple. Carefully, slide each of your testicles up into the scrotum area above your sac, and subsequently tape them in place. I do one testicle at a time. Mine are a little large, and I can't seem to "hold it all together" as I prepare to tape. :) Some new girls get frightened by this process for fear their jewels will somehow get lost. Trust me honey - they are nicely attached and will find there way home. Finally, take your "friend" and tuck him nice and neatly between your legs. Some girls suggest taping him as well but they never mention what you are supposed to do when you must pee. I leave mine alone. Usually, a pair of snug panties or a bathing suit will hold your little operation in place.
"Little Operation" ROFLMOA!!

LMAO i'm laughing just reading what you've written so far Samson.

As for the tatoo thingy, i always wanted to get a tat when i was younger but now i don't think i would want one after all. However, i did see this guy on the discovery channel replicate some Dali art pieces. They were beautiful, and almost perfect in every way. If i ever get a tatoo it would definately be a work either by myself or Dali done by that guy, as i am a very big dali fan and have the perfect pic in mind!!
