The Names of your Grandparents
Remember when people used to name their children after relatives? This is why I didn't chose any grandparent names:
Heintrick- Grandfather/Mom
Otillia- Grandmother/Mom
Drusilla Mina - Grandmother/ Dad
Cato (the only normal name) - Grandfather/Dad
What are your Grandparent's names?

I only listed first names.....but my last names wouldn't have been as interesting as yours were! LOL!
You had a good shot at some family fortunes....too bad it didn't link up. Maybe one day you'll find out it really did and you inherit loads of money from someone.

dad's side:
william
Dina (that wasn't her real name, her middle one, i don't know her first name)
mom's side:
rosilda
etienne
in our family, our tradition is to give our children the godmother/godfather's name for the child's middle name and we add joseph for a boy and marie for a girl. I didn't do the joseph and marie thing with my kids.
Kassandra and krystal we did that with. we didn't do it for erika. Krystal chose a middle and a first name for her.

Mom's side: Maria, Vasile
Dad's side: Ana, Dumitru. We called him Mitea.
Funny you should mention it, when I was born, mom didn't want to name me after either of my grandmathers. She wanted only one child, but dad was really crazy about having a boy. So it kinda snowballed and both grandmas started to put pressure on my mom. So, there came my sis: Ana-Maria. She hates it and tells everyone she's Anna  .

I like it also.
I think she hates it because in Romanian, there are little songs kids sing about some specific names - her too. And it says something like, "ana maria, you're so pretty that you should never go to your house and stay out of site". They kind of tortured her with it - did I mention she used to beat most boys up, LOOL???
Must be something related to that!

Just how it sounds. They moved to Saskatchewan directly from Russia, they were somewhat off beat but I loved them dearly as did us all.
