my other grandfather is basically dead

My other grandfather had a stroke and is brain dead and on life support, they will pull the plug soon.


This one bothers me more, but i havnt really had time to think about it because i leave for NY tomorrow.

I know he's been sick a long time DA. How are your folks doing? Losing someone you love is always difficult...but it can't be avoided. It just comes with the territory.

well actually this grandfather hasnt been sick a long time, it was sudden, he had a huge stroke.

My other grandfather was in pain a long time, he died 5 months ago...so basically both my grandfathers died in a 6 month span.

i havnt had much time yo think of it, driving back to NY and all. But now that im back its starting to hit me a bit...i did end up crying when i talked to my grandmother, but besides that, i have just been sad. He was the first person to see me, and he got me into computers(the two people who had me become interested in computers are both dead, my friend and him). I missed my last chance to see him by skipping the trip to florida with my family.




on the other hand he lived a good life, 20 years in the army, business afterwards. so he made the world a better place.

M mom is having a rough time with it, she really looked up to him.

It's always hard to lose someone who means something to you. At least he was able to live a full productive life and probably has many wonderful memories to take with him.
