My Brother Has Cancer

and has been given two weeks to live. His Cancer is in his lung (the other one operated on years ago for Cancer as well), liver, and kidney. Next week will be a family time for us, some coming from the Coast, to be together and make it as peaceful and loving for him as is possible.

For those of you that pray, please pray for a peaceful time for him, his name is Harry. Thank you SO much!

I am so sorry Luba. I have been down that road with my sister-in-law, my father-in-law and my mother-in-law. You, Harry and the rest of your family will be in my prayers. I am sending a special hug to you sweetie.

I spent all day at the hospital with a lot of the family...it looks like my brother is dying sooner than expected...we kept a constant vigil. I am home until early tomorrow if he survives the night. Someone is constantly with him holding his hand, rubbing his legs, making sure he is comfortable. He isn't responding to any voices, only body movements when he's uncomfortable...please continue to pray for peace for my brother's journey....thank you!

I'm really sorry for what you're going through mim; I can't possibly imagine and I mean that.

Quite honestly my heart fell through my chest when I first read this message and as bad as it is to say (please don't hate me), I actually felt some relief when I read Harry, not Peter. I can't believe how terrible this sounds so my most sincerest of apologies.

To those of you who may be new or may not know the circumstances around my reply I'll just state that Luba is in fact my mother and Harry is my Uncle. I believe Harry betrayed my mothers BIG HEART many years ago and tried to pit her in the middle of a family feud (that he was soley responsible for if you ask me).

I don't hate Harry nor do I harbor any ill feelings as I don't fully know the circumstances behind what happened (I was too young). The simple fact that he put a truly wonderful person through torment (my mother) is enough for me to have passed judgement years ago.

Luba, I'm really sorry for what you must be going through and I'm extremely sorry for my thoughts on the matter. I'm not really in a place right now where I can afford to come down to Nelson but if you need me there then just say the word.

Ken, thank you for your heartfelt message and I have always understoond how you felt and when I told your brother, he feels the same way you do. Thank you, everyone, for your messages as well, I love you all!

My brother, Harry, died shortly after midnight.
