I knew she was with Duke today, so I called to talk with her. Honestly, even before she answered the phone my heart just smiled...she has the happiest voice I have ever heard...She is so intelligent, so vital, so vibrant, so interesting!! She has such a great sense of humour!!
I just wanted to tell you all how grateful I am to be her Grandma

Thank you, Star, for your very beautiful Post!! Two weeks from today I should be nearing Coquitlam where Duke and Dwoing (she said she'd be there with her Dad) to pick me up from the bus. When I see the Port Mann bridge, I just weep inside from anticipation...I LOVE the lights of that beautiful City...and before that, even when the Freeway starts before Chilliwack...I'm just so full of expectations to see those very beautiful part of my family, Duke and Dwoing...and, of course, when I actually see them, I start to cry like a baby and I just hug them and hug them and hug them...there is NOTHING nicer than seeing them coming through the door of the bus station if the bus is early, or have them waiting when the bus is a little late...
Then I also get to see my other beautiful son and his two-year-old daughter...another set of hugs with another round of happy tears...
I am so fortunate to have such wonderful sons and granddaughters!!!
duke!!! be nice!! you have a wonderful mom and she loves you soooooo much. embrace it!
i bet duke's just a teddy bear with muscles (do you have those??) he's all talk but inside, he wants to see his mommy. all boys are mommy's boys. at least that's been my experience. i know hubby is. i was finally able to cut those apron strings off of him about a year ago. man that was hard work. LMAO!!

I'm starting to believe that God actually punishes women during childbirth with extreme pain for a reason. His/her reason may be that its the childs way of paying the mother back for the lifetime of nagging they'll have to endure over the actual event.
