Moving out - FINALLY
Hello, everybody
It's been around 2 weeks since I haven't seen you all, so I'll do my best to catch up with the new subjects on the site.
Merika's wish came true and my parents did give me some extra money, LOL. The good news is that I'm moving - FINALLY, the bad news is that I couldn't get a place of my own. I'm sharing the appartment with another girl, but at least the appartment is fully equipped.
My room is much bigger and I'll be so much closer to my place work.
The bad news is that the appartment is not well preserved - the hallway, for instant needs badly a new coat of painting, IMHO. I'll see how I can arrange that - I'll invest some of the money my parents gave in buying some pieces of furniture.
I've bought a flower to celebrate this huge change in my life, and I'll do so every time I accomplish something.
My plan is to get a job in June, after my internship is over - my file would have 200% more chances of passing if I get hired.
So next Saturday I'll be in my new flat. I don't have an internat connexion there yet, but I hope that in another week they'll get it installed.
What else - my parents had a great time here but I'm dead meat - we went out, stayed out until late catching up, so this week end I slept like log.
Talk to you all soon,
Diana

Good to hear you are moving out . Especially after everything you had to put up with. The flower is a nice idea. Is the new housemate a good girl, in the sense that you expect to get along well with her?
Great that you and your parents had such a good time.
Best wishes, and hopefully the moving will cause no problem.

She seems ok, after getting out of such a mess I confess that one never knows - you know my favourite saying "everyone seems normal until you get to know them".
Thank you for the wishing well, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for an uneventful moving out.
How've you've been, V?

I have been occupied with quite a bit of stuff. It has been really hectic, as I had to go on a crusade with the bureaucracy. Concerning my education, and concerning my possible future with my gf. And of course planning the next time she and I can spend time together.
We will see how everything will turn out.

you need lots of patience and free time if you want to achieve whatever it is that you want, Vautrin. And persistance.
If your heart really is into it, you will win, I am sure.
I hope you and your sweet heart won't be appart for long, and you'll get some peace .

Thanks Diana.
The plans are for now aimed at the Christmas period. Sadly, there is a genius who works at the university who planned the examinations right after the Christmas holidays. So I will have to do quite a bit of studying and writing on the subjects and courses I will be taking in that period, so I can actually spend time with her. Which should not be a problem , as the courses are not extremely hard
Hopefully you will have found your peace too. And can focus on your life and career, without being hassled by insane housemates.

Amen to that, my friend!!!!!
5 more days and I'm off of here!!!! Maybe it sounds like a little thing, but it's such an accomplishment to find a clean place in Paris when you're a foreigner without paying like a mad for it!
My own accomplishment. I'm glad !!! And if I don't like it, the contract that I've signed allows me to leave after one week notice. It's such a relief!!

1 week notice? Excellent. That means that if something would go wrong, you don't have to deal with months of agony. Hopefully that does not happen. But after your last experience, never exclude something like that.
It is not something small. It is a big deal. Especially in a metropolitan city, where the rent for a closet room, would probably run into the hundreds of Euros, and that is including the free ferment.
I hope you will enjoy the packing!

I do feel like celebrating myself!!! It was a huge stress, but the fact that my parents were here helped me IMMENSLY.
They were such a support, it's incredible what the mere thing of having the family near can do...
I'm so greatful to them for their help!! I feel like my life is entering another stage. We'll see...

I've done some partying this week and today it's the big day - I'm moving out.
I'll have internet installed in a week - I hope.
Keep you posted.
Thinking of you all,
Diana
