Well the bitch is gone. Didn't even say bye to my mom or myself. Suits me well, I discovered a club that's open til 5am on weekends and didn't get home til about 7. Needed sleep bad and probably would have torn her a new one if she woke me up.

Heh, my mom is seriously running around singing a song she made up that goes like "The bitch is gone, oh happy days"

I never realized how big our basement was until it was empty. It's huge! And it's all mine now....Muhaha.

Yes, it sure would be terrible! I love my granddaughter, Paris, so much I just get teary typing this because I can't be there as much as I would like to, to see her grow up every day of my life!!! Now the same with my soon-to-be 2-year-old granddaughter!!!!!

It makes me ill when some friends of mine complain that they have to babysit their grandchildren...I would give my right arm to be able to babysit mine, just even to play with them or watch them while they are playing...

When Duke mentioned his Grandfather, it brought all that pain back to me, too. So we sympathize with you, Weiser!

It took me 23 wasted years to realize an elder doesn't just get respect, they have to earn it, which is why I am trying to live by that now with my sons and granddaughters...

It sure does feel good to "let it all out" here, but it does bring out more anger which I thought was dealt with, and does it ever really get dealt with?

She's gone, moved away, I don't have to ever see her again. Problem dealt with.

I love Squish's grandmother and she is a CHARACTER! We have battles but they work out in the end.

Seriously though - she's a character- they should make a reality tv show about her!!!

My mother-in-law is okay, until she gets rolling about how the Jews are behind everything. Though she's actually mellowed out in that department since my father-in-law passed away. The funny thing is, as far as I can tell neither of them has ever/had ever expressed a bad thought about any other racial or ethnic group.

But it was pretty bad for a while. My sister-in-law wouldn't let her daughters (now age 14 and 17) visit them unsupervised for a bit...one time when she was about age 4 the youngest came home from staying overnight and started making comments about "Jewish bankers controlling the USA." Ya know, typical conversation for a four year old.

BOTH our families can be pretty redneck and known to drop the N- bomb but they respect our wishes not to use it around Squish. It's hard for them at Thanksgiving when watching football but they try.

Part of Serious OCD is unearthing threads that have been buried, not months, but YEARS!!

Anyway, I don't mind.

I've reached a thermodynamic equilibrium with my inlaws and outlaws. We all tolerate each other when we must, and ignore each other the rest of the time.

I'm a lurker chaser. The only way to correct this habit is to keep new threads started for my amusement

No complaints here. It is my gf that has the issue with her parents, more than I do.
