..... Sorry had to go get the phone then couldn't get off! Speaking of dating problems - mine is that I can never tell a guy I'm not interested - I just don't know how people do that. I feel so dreadful about it I'm far too nice and then they phone forever, it drives me mad :?

If that happened to me and where I am in my life right now; I'd make up something like saying I have six children or my crazy grandmother is coming to live with me or I'm a gambler and can't stop or I'm a closet drinker or....

Depends on the person who's calling in what excuse I'd use; some just don't get it and you have to resort to tactics to get them to stop calling...

I don't mind guys calling if that's all there is to it, that's not really the problem. The problem is that I am a wimp. Seriously, I have long spells of not dating at all because I find it all too stressful, not the meeting people, that's great no matter what they are like - the aftermath if I don't fancy them. I'm sure you're supposed to learn how to do this when you're about 15, what's wrong with me?

Hints don't work. I've tried the truth, the guy was crushed - I'm not doing that again ever. Mind you, most of the time it works out OK. But when it doesn't I don't seem to have found a way of sorting it out so I put it off. I asked my friends. They screen calls on their mobiles, use answer phones, say they're not interested, say they've met Mr.Right - that's probably the answer but I find it very hard to do.
