Living near the folks.....

I'm going to be moving within a couple of miles from my parents. It's fine now....but there were years when I really wouldn't have wanted to live that close.

How close could you live to your parents and still feel comfortable?

Ive always lived close to my parents and wouldn't have it any other way, if I moved to another state they would follow... they would have to we depend on eachother to much... they help with my kids, and I help taking my dad ( who is going blind) everywhere.. plus I dont think they could survive without the grandkids.

I think that is great for you and the kids Merika!! now you have all the holidays to look foward to with faimly, I am sure you guys will help eachother out alot and the kids will most likley like having faimly around.. I've said it before but I am SOOOOOOOOO GLAD you are moving. Jackson doesn't need to be in that neighborhood with what happened last year, I am so glad this is working out for you

i used to live close to my parents until they moved out of town. when we lived in brampton (last year), i was living right around the corner from my parents.

i miss it. I loved my dad just popping by and my mother coming by to help me around the house or with the kids. they miss living close to me too.

I told them when my dad retires, i want them to come back here and live near us (one of my other brother's live here too) so that they can be close by.

I hate living an hour away from my parents.

I live about 8 hours away from my folks, with a couple of hefty mountain ranges in the way.
