Im new and heeling silly

Hi to all on this forum.My name is Orianna and i posted my first post yesterday on another topic,i was telling how my beautiful daughter and her husband ,who have been married 6 months have decided to have a baby.Very exciting as it would be the first for both families,then if she fell pregnant this month it would be due in June,it would be the anniversary of my son,and her brothers death 7 years,he was only 18 when he died,and as we have a close family we have been doing well(so i thought) but i have a knot in my stomach about June.Overnite i have been thinking ,it would be nice ,as then June ,would also be a celebration.I was surprised at how i felt,and i wish her the best of luck and hope this will be her month ,so feel i was a bit silly .Looking forward to meeting everyone here

Wow, that's a really touching story Orianna, thanks for sharing it.

I can't imagine the pain of losing a child but just thinking about it (which happens naturally as any loving parent can tell you) brings me to tears. Regardless of what kind of person you are, I really don't see how losing a loved one isn't like losing a chip of your own heart.

I think it would be fantastic if she conceived now and gave birth in June but regardless, just having a new child around is enough joy to overshadow a lot of the bad. You also sound like you'd be a great grandparent!

thanks for those kind words,i am looking forward to being a grandma,and i think if she does have a baby in June it may be just what we need.She is a very precious daughter ,as all my children are,so fingers crossed for her.She will be exactly the same age i was when i had my 1st .

Isn't there a song that goes something like "There is Nothing Like a Dame" from 'South Pacific'? I say "There is Nothing Like Being a Grandma!!" Come to think of it, being a dame isn't so bad, either!

As a parent myself, I feel for your loss. Fortunately my kids are both healthy and I pray everyday that they stay that way. What brought me here was the pain of a good friend whose son nearly drown and he is now struggling with the financial and emotional burdens associated with it all. I feel his pain all the time and this site has helped me as I am sure it will help you. I hope your daughter does conceive now and has the baby in June. What a wonderful gift to you and her deceased brother. You will find a shoulder when you need one on this site. And Duke is a wonderful webmaster.
