Have You Ever Hurt Someone on a Forum?
I abhor hurting people! Someone sent me a very nice PM today and I realize now I was a bit too flippant with my response and may have hurt a person that I really care about.
It happened once before with my Son but thank God he forgave me! I seem to do that the same time every year. This time it was not my son but, as I said, someone else that I care about.
Would the person please respond to my PM and forgive me?

I can be abrasive at times. Usually when I am in a foul mood (and honestly the bi-polar is not helping either). In general I try to censor my posts to avoid hurting people.
But it has happened.

it'll be ok luba *big big hug* we all make mistakes, and most people understand that.
Im sure the person knows how much you care and will respond soon. sometimes its hard to say the right things when we feel a bit poorly.

Re: Have You Ever Hurt Someone on a Forum?
Yes, I have.
The written word is sometimes misconstrued or over analyzed. With cultural differences, unique humor added with no voice tone or facial expressions; it is sometimes very hard to convey a message.
Some topics of discussion are hard for all of us at times. A person's mood can have a huge impact on someone's response as well as how they read the line(s) of text.
Luba, you are a very caring person. Like PepsiChic said, they probably know that.

I agree with IvyRose. It is so hard to convey your true feelings and the intent behind the words without the facial and voice cues. One of the reasons I like the smilies. And a person's mood does have a big impact on how they interpret what you say. Don't worry too much Luba.

Re: Have You Ever Hurt Someone on a Forum?
I just LOVE you beautiful, beautiful people! If you saw me right this moment you would laugh! It's 4:48 a.m. (everybody knows I'm a very early morning person) and my hair isn't combed, I'm in a nightgown with my bunny slippers on my feet. My facial expression holds a huge smile and my heart is filled with love for you who responded so kindly! There, indeed, is Sunshine in my heart, as I chatted with TKDLady in the Chatroom.
