Friends from the past
I just got an email from someone from my past. We were extremely good friends sometime ago in a different part of my life. Hell I even saved his arse a few times - on that note, he saved mine too. It was really good hearing from him and he is in town this Wed-Sat. He wants to meet up and go out. Catch up on old times. I really want to meet up with him, but I like to think that part of my life is dead and gone. The crew I ran with back then make the devious and delinquent look like absolute saints.
Right now I have a career, a good girl, my health, money that I earned honestly and I don't have to look over my shoulder constantly - That's such a good feeling.
I'm sure if I meet up with him I will have fun and all, but there is always a small part of me that wishes I never left. I'm think I'll be fine. At the very least, I feel I owe him atleast a night out on the town. We'll see how it turns out.

Nothing wrong with seeing him, as long as you dont start doing bad stuff.

i'm sure everyting will go fine and if it doesn't, you can always leave. hope you have fun with your old friend!
I've had old friends reach me in the past and i have reached them also. One did not too long ago by e-mail through classmates. I was really surprised and happy to hear from him. He was one of the first people i met when i moved here and was a very good friend.
I think it's really nice when we hear from someone we used to know and hang with. It means that they're still thinking about us. must mean that they did like us back then huh?

Yeah, I know I can always get up and leave. See the thing is, when I left that life, he moved up in that world. I'm not really sure why he's coming here, but I have my suspicions. For now though, I'm just thinking positive that he wants to see an old friend and nothing more

Actually, once you leave the life most of the crew you ran with actually look up to you and respect your decision. There is the odd one that will always try and drag you back in but those are the ones you stay away from.

Heh, lets realate this to military terms. When I packed up and left I was...I guess probably a sgt major. He was and still is to my knowledge, a lieutenant colonel. I can hope that he isn't anymore, but that's doubtful. We'll see, I'm actually really excited to see him now. So many questions I want to ask about everyone and stuff

I know how you feel, I hate the "Blast from the past" type friends they always disipoint me :?
Do a quick lunch with him and start the conversation with what you stated above about yourself that you are doing good now and that you had such good times with him and while it was fun then your glad those days are over Ask how he is doing be nice and friendly but let him know you have grown up and moved on
I have been in that situation and I like shocking the crap out of people when they see how gracefully I overcame the "lifestyle" maby it gives them hope 8)

Well he just got into town and gave me a call. He's busy tonight but we are going to hook up Friday night. I was going to cut Friday short because I was going to do something with Sarah, but now that whole thing is stupid rediculous right now.
So Friday it is, me and D, just like old times. Goin out to the clubs first, then he's takin me to a private party after. Apparently there are a couple other guys I know from out west that are going to be there *thumbs up* Just like a mini reunion hehe.

Trouble be a brewin' tonight lol. I found out who the other 2 are and WOOHOO! Was not expecting it to be them. Kei and Yuskei, the little japanese brothers. These guys kick arse in a way undescribable. Us 3 OWNED the Aurora when I was there and apparently people are still asking about me haha. Too funny.
Man I am so jacked for tonight. Seriously going to be like old times, but in a not AS bad way So glad I don't have anything to do tomorrow, I think it's gonna be a write off. Ces't la vie.

Edit - baaaad post. I should know by now not to post while I'm hammered.
Short clean version - Never made it to party, never trusting someone named Sara(h) ever again, atleast I got 3 numbers.
