Contact with family members

How much of your immediate family would you say you keep close contact with and why?

My connection to the 'the wonderful Duke' is on here everyday; and to my other son just about twice a week; give or take. I'm glad to say he keeps in touch more than before and it's wonderful!! The "why" of it is because I absolutely love and cherish them both...

i keep in contact with my dad on msn almost daily. my brother who lives here more often then the other two who live out of town.

I hate to sound sappy but I'm in contact with my sisters and brother almost daily. I have 9 neices and nephews that I'm close with also.

Live w/my mum. I see my grandparents-aunts, uncles,cousins,etc... at least monthly. We're a pretty tight group.

I talk to my mom and to my sister once a week at least. I talkto dad occsionally, but that's all. I write to my grandparents and send them postcards and pictures, but not all that often.

That's all.

I hardly ever talk to aunt and oncle, and even less with my cousins.

the only time i ever see any of my cousins, aunts and uncles is when there's a funeral or something to that effect. they live in a different province then we do so seeing them doesn't happen too often. I do however keep in close contact with one of my aunts by e-mail.

but, when we do see eachother, it's fun!!

I don't have that luck! I went to my cousin's wedding last month, came home from France, took my bf with me only to be ignored. Some people just don't worth bothering for!

My sister, my bf and I finally had a great time, otherwise!

I try to call my mom at least once a week. It doesn't always happen. All my siblings live so far away and are spread all over the US that seeing them regularly is out of the question. When the kids were younger, we made more of an effort to see family. Now we just try to keep our own lives going. I have so much on my plate with my daughter going away to college next month and my son about to start school as a senior that I am out of energy for anyone else. I e-mail my siblings occassionally and we call each other. When we do get together it is fun. I wish I had unlimited money and didn't have to work. Than none of this would be a problem.

that's my wish also. wouldn't it be nice not to have to worry about finances at all? that's a dream!

If I had unlimited money and didn't have to work I would be SO on Duke's doorstep as well as my other Son's place whenever the mood struck me, and visit for weeks but not be like Grampa...okay, Duke???

I talk to my parents 3-4 times a week. I email my oldest son about daily. The rest are irrelevant and far and few between.
