I think some competition is healthy isn't it?

I don't compete with my friends since the last year at school, before I attended university. And even then it was some sort of joke. I sucked at athletics, but excelled in practically all intellectual pursuits.

Now my friends and I barely share the same fields of endeavor. So at the moment, I do not even compete for anything! Life is simple, when you are young

I had a very easy time to achieve good grades.

I did not take pride in it, unless someone was bragging about his or her skills. In which case I would punish them with grades, and with witticisms.

And the frustrating part of physical exercises was that we did all sports at which I was terrible. But if we would swim, or play chess, I would have gotten the best grades, hands down. GRR!

I never did compete with my friends for anything. I was always happy for the good things that would happen to my friends not try to beat it. Maybe this competing thing is a guy thing?

I am prone to be more competitive on the job in terms of getting better projects or even parking spots....but not in my everyday life.
