Brother doesn't contribute

EUGG My brother is 22 years old he still lives at home with my parents ( not in school) he has a great job where he makes about 18.00 per hour and he doesn't pay rent, help my parents with groceries, and act's like somebody just asked him to chop off his arm if he has to buy laundry soap.

It is really aggrivating me, My father has become blind and can't work anymore so everything is on my mother, she works and pays all the bills. I think they should throw him out or he sould step up and pay bills at least buy grocries. THEN on top of that my dad will send him to the store for ciggaretts and he wont come back for 6-8 hours.. so my poor dad is at home feening for a cigg while my brother is out skrewing around... I'd really like to kick his arse.

Greg and I help my parents as much as we can, they won't take our money so my mother cleans my house, my dad watches my son and I pay them for it. But I am going to go nuts on my brother, I ask my mother why she doesn't just throw him out and she doesn't awanser, I am ready to tell his arse off... do you think it is not my place?

I was paying rent at 18 prolly just so my dad could drink more but since I was working I was expected to contribute. I could maybe understand if he wasn't working or was still in school but if he's living there leeching off of the parents he will likely do so indefinately.

That said, I'm not really sure it's your responsibility to say anything because it is your parents problem. You do owe it to yourself to say something to him if it's really bothering you but not to be instrumental in the change. Doing so may make you two bitter rivals for years to come and simply isn't worth it IMO.

I say, tell him off! I have no problem telling my brothers off when I feel they should be told off about something stupid that they are doing (as a matter of fact, I did that with one of my brothers today so he can smarten up before his wife throws his arse out the door).

If that were my brother, I deffinately would tell him to start helping out his parents since he is smooching off of them. He's old enough to be standing on his own 2 feet! I understand why you're so angry at this SH; I would be livid too.

I can't imagine any man WANTING to live at home at that age unless they were in college or off in the military. To have a job and still sponge off of your parents is digusting. I don't blame you SH....I'd be pissed off and let him KNOW it!

Then again, your parents shouldn't enable him to do it to them.
