Default Awesome Relatives

For the first time in over 4 months (since I brought Erika home from the hospital), I am childless!! Yipee!!

I took my nephew (who is eight yrs. old) for the past 2 days and when my sister in law came to pick him up this afternoon, she offered to take Kassandra AND Erika overnight so I could have a break. I'm thinking....hmmm...totally alone with hubby tonight. what shall we do?

He's still not home from work though. He'll probably work late jsut because we have no kids here (he doesn't know yet) and when he does get home, he'll be exausted. He better get his second wind!

Anyways, I am sooo grateful that I have such an awesome sister in law. This one is married to my one brother. I think of her more like the sister i never had then a sis in law.

I am happy that I have no kids here tonight but I'm here all alone and it's soooooooo quiet in here. I'm not used to this anymore! LOL!

Well in 5 years it should be a more regular thing, when kassandra leaves for college.

but i don't want her to leave for college. she doesn't have to leave, we have a very good college and university right here and she can stay at home with us until she finishes. save money doing it that way. besides, i'll still have erika here.

Hubby still isn't home and i'm still all alone bored out of my skull. when you're used to having kids around to take care of then bam! they're gone for a little while, it's an adjustment!

OR you can look at it another way, in a few years Kassandra will beable to watch Erika alone so you and Hubby can have nice romantic dates..

( I think you should arrnage this at least once a month, you need a break)

Too bad your not a gamer. I'd set up a small server so we could shoot each other online.

Kassandra does watch erika alone once in awhile but that's just for us to run errands. hubby and i don't have much time to do much of anything. his long days at work don't allow for it. Most of these jobs he does have a deadline so he's working everyday. he worked 18 hours the other day! i could never work that much. Hubby is a work-a-holic. that's okay though. he's turned me into a home body so it works for us. LOL!

i don't think krytal will be responsible enough in 5 years to be a full time mom to erika. she is trying a little now though. she seen a counsellor for the first time yesterday and she's going to go and pick out her courses for school this week. She arranged all of it so she's showing a little something. She's also applied for social assistance and had an interview for a job at tim hortons. baby steps but for how long? :?

I do love to play games duke but not the ones that are the shooting games. i like the investigative ones like phantasmagoria. I have a few here that I've played. they're awesome games! they have real people acting in these games and you control the main character and solve everything coming out alive at the end. They're not easy games; I use the walkthroughs.

Hubby came home late last night and I ended up falling asleep on the couch and he went to bed. I was up at 6 this morning (my usual time when erika is here) and couldn't fall back asleep as hard as i tried so I got up and started my housework like i always do. It was a very nice break though not to warm up a bottle, change a diaper or give a baby a bath.

I do miss them though!

I've found myself a time or two without both kids and I felt all wierd too. Unless you've made plans in advance...you end up just sitting around with noting to do.

What time are they coming home?

it's very weird. we're so used to taking care of somebody that when they're gone, we don't know what to do with ourselves. LOL! I'm cleaning; that's nothing new. :?

I think she said she'll bring them back this afternoon sometime. My guess would be either before she takes her little girl to autism school at 1:00 or when she picks her up at 3:30.

She just e-mailed me telling me how funny kassandra is. She's telling her how to warm up the bottle, change her bum, everything. Kassandra's a mother hen! LOL! I do miss my little bebe (that's kassandra) and my little pitoune. It was strange to wake up this morning and not get to hug my little angel bug.

Even though you didn't do anything particularly special....it was still nice for you to get a break from your normal routine. Times like this remind you how much you enjoy the loves in your life.

I did enjoy it very much and I also appreciate that I do have these kids to take care of.

I went for a walk to the plaza and bought myself a new cordless phone (mine went dead the other day and I miss it big time! Hate being stuck to the wall). I bumped into my other sis in law on the way home (she just lives 5 minutes from my place) and chatted with her for a bit then came home and had a nap.

The kids will be back at about 4 or so. I am looking forward to having them both home. I can never be away from my kids for too long. Krystal included.

Krystal stopped by last night at about 10 and stayed for about 1/2 hour or so. Even though she doesn't live here, I look forward to seeing her when she does pop by or talk to her on the phone almost daily. She went to her first counselling session yesterday and is supposed to be going to pick her school subjects within the next week. Hopefully she sticks to it all.

only once a week? I'd go batty. I like to hear from Krystal at least every other day. That way I know she's safe and alive. I couldn't go a week without talking to my kids. I'd worry too much.

Kids are home now. they got here at 5 and I kept my nephew for supper. he'll be getting picked up by my brother on his way home from work tonight.

Now I feel complete.
