It is a nice gesture but I won't be doing that with my kids. I believe that handing these kind of expensive things to a kid teaches them zero about the value of money and how much things cost. Besides, I think they'll be a lot more careful with the car and the insurance if they're the only ones who are responsible for it. Kids are too careless and they have no fear. I won't be allowing them to drive my car with my insurance. it'll never happen.

There are other ways to teach that lesson though, i mean with me, i am better with money then a lot of the people that i know that bought their own cars and pay for their own insurance.

it's not just about teaching them about money though. it's screwing up my insurance. it's not going to happen. I give my kids lots of other things but a car will not be one of those things.

That's great that you're good with money. Kassandra is excellent with money too. Krystal on the other hand isn't. it burns a hole in her pocket and she spends it foolishly. Kassandra will hold on to her money and save it for something she really wants to buy. She learned our lessons very well where krystal didn't learn a darn thing. LOL!
