friend's making bad decisions

I get really frustrated when my friend's make bad decisions, like tomorrow there is a career fair at my school, and my friend who needs to go cause she is graduating at the end of the semester isnt going because she wants to sleep in. The job market is tough and she doesnt have good grades, she will struggle in the job market if she doesnt take advantage of these opportunities.

I think that i shouldnt care, its not my life, i should just let her make her own bad decisions.

That's pretty much it, all you can do as a friend is suggest that it's in their best interests to go but if she refuses then it's not your problem.

Have to agree with Duke. You are not responsible for the career of your friend. She is. And after you have pointed out that this is a good opportunity, there is nothing else you can do.

yeah, oh well. I went to it, and it was pretty good, some decent companies were there. One of the recruiters was a friend of my old roomate and she remembered me, so that is a definate plus, and there were some other companies that seemed interested.

WTF? You aren't responsible for anyone else's mistakes. Follow your own path and quit worrying about other people's scew ups. If they cared about their future....they would've been there. As it is...they can screw up on Mom and Dad's college dollar...but you aren't responsible for that.

People act all tarded out because they don't have the need to take responsibility. I would refuse to help them.
