Default Spots on Bananas

I can't believe how fast the bananas got brown spots this time. I've not done anything different. One day they were a bright yellow, next morning brown. I was researching this and haven't really gotten a great response. Some say hang them up. Others say put them in the freezer. Some say put them in the fridge but the skins will darken. I would just like them to stay yellow somewhat longer. Why do some seem to spot so quickly?

I found this online.....now we know. YUK!

Export bananas are picked green, and then usually ripened in ripening rooms when they arrive in their country of destination. These are special rooms made air-tight and filled with ethylene gas to induce ripening. Bananas can be ordered by the retailer "ungassed", however, and may show up at the supermarket still fully green. While these bananas will ripen more slowly, the flavour will be notably richer, and the banana peel can be allowed to reach a yellow/brown speckled phase, and yet retain a firm flesh inside. Thus, shelf life is somewhat extended. The flavour and texture of bananas are affected by the temperature at which they ripen. Bananas are refrigerated to between 13.5 and 15 °C (57 and 59 °F) during transportation. At lower temperatures, the ripening of bananas permanently stalls, and the bananas will turn grey.

I cannot eat a banana when it has spots on it. I just don't like the taste and texture of the banana when it gets to that stage as it's too soft and has an overripe taste. The perfect banana to me is bright yellow with a bit of green at the top.

This is why I only by bananas 3 or 4 at a time.

We only buy a few bananas at a time but I've never seen them go spotty so fast...

I love green banana's, yes that is right green. I like the firmness, and unripe flavor. But if i was to be having a banana smoothie or milkshake then i would like them perfectly ripe, nice yellow, no spots.
