Re: Family Friendly Directory
Okay, I added my site to your directory. How long does it take to show up on the page where you click the category to see the sites under that category?

I personally have to approve all links submitted to the directory so its done basically when I have time to get to it.
I will add to the terms and conditions later about how long it takes to be included but for now I'd say 3 - 5 business days (just to be safe). Even though it takes only a matter of seconds to approve a site I know, it will take much longer to qualify sites I've never heard of.
I already know about your site so all I did was check to see that all links worked and approved your site right away. The next time you navigate to the directory/family category, you will see your site listed there. There will also be a weblink discussion forum for submitters who choose to participate in our forums (10 + posts).
BTW, how did you find the submission process, any comments?

Re: Family Friendly Directory
A few comments:
The first line confused me as to what you wanted there. I originally put my website address because I guess I don't really have a name. Maybe one of those information icons would be beneficial.
The information icon for Visit Website doesn't seem to work for me. Also, maybe that should be changed to "Website Address". We are putting in our information, not asking someone else to visit it. Just a suggestion.
That is pretty much it. Since the first information icon didn't work I wasn't sure what to do with the "Our Link" line because I figured none of them worked. Then I finally hovered over the I Icon and figured it out.
That is about it. Thanks for adding me so fast. Appreciate it.

Re: Family Friendly Directory
NP, thanks for the feedback. For the life of me, I have no idea why that little icon doesn't work, it's configured to so I may have to ask at the developers website.
I'll definitely beef up some of the other input areas in an attempt to make them more obvious. I'm still pretty new to the software myself so I'm not exactly sure how everything works.

Re: Family Friendly Directory
I figured it out. There was a momentary confusion and then I got clarity.

Re: Family Friendly Directory
I just discovered another issue or at least I think it is an issue. When I click the link that says "MSC Website" it gives me an error message saying I must be a registered user and logged in to see this resource. The same for the other 2 links. I can visit the website with no problem however. Just thought I would mention this.

That's because there is a "Details View" that I've disabled for everyone, myself included. I'll likely re-write that portion of the modules code to make the name either a re-direct to the website or just a website header.
It looks like I'll have to register at the module makers website because I don't like the fact that there is no option to disable the details page without getting that silly permission error. I also don't like the fact that the module does not list directory categories on the sitemap. IMHO, this is by far one of the most important features required.
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Family Friendly Directory
Why do you need the two links anyway?

I don't actually which is why I think it should be a user configurable option.
I do understand the reason for both views because details is more in-depth but it looks like crap depending on which web browser you use. If it wasn't for all the template editing required, I'd just enable details view and be done with it.
I may just bit the bullet and fix the details view template to get out of recoding some of the other goodies I want.

Re: Family Friendly Directory
Anyway, thanks for providing the service. I never expected a lot of others to view my site but if they like it then great. I am continually working to improve it and my knowledge in building it.
