Woow, a Romanian woman in the Guinness book
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/eu....ap/index.html
I don't think I'd be that brave. I thought my mom was old - she had me when she was 28 and my sister when she was 31!!!
What's the oldest age you'd have babies - star excluded, since she already has her little angel?

I had my first when I was 24 and my second at 28. I would never have a baby past the age of 30. I was always one to think about how old i would be when my kid is 16 or 20.
You know, I don't know why these old lady's have babies like this. a 66 yr. old?!? She might not live long enough to see her child go to school for the first time! It's not fair to that child.

This is an abomination of science: reversal of menapuase, then artificially inseminating a 66 year old woman so that she can have an extremely high risk birth-defect baby.
Modern Frankenstein.

Well she must be great to be able to give birth at that age. I feel sorry for the child when mom dies, just enough time to bond with mom then watch her lowered into the dirt. Why people do things like this I'll never fully understand.

I'm with you on that one! It's totally selfish and rediculous.

Because they can, mainly!
I've always thought that Romania and not the US was the country of all possibilities! If you've got enough money, you can do or buy whatever your heart desires.
I don't even think that's shocking anymore.

I know so little about Romania it's sickening.
I guess it's just the fact that a kid will eventually be made to suffer that bothers me. I hate the thought of another child suffering because of a stupid decision made by an adult.

I can't imagine why anyone would WANT a child at that age.

Maybe she could only afford it at that time and always wanted children but never had a man who could make it happen.

That could very well be true Duke. As Twinkle has shared.....Rumania is just in the process of coming out in the world and having some priviledges which perhaps weren't affordable, or even available, in years past.

I really hope it's something to that affect because otherwise I still believe it's unfair to the child. Actually it's still unfair but makes it a bit more understandable for some reason.
