What Was Your Favorite Show
as a kid? Do you remember a favorite character? If available, did you buy it on DVD for your children or a niece/nephew/grandchild?

Adams Family, Munsters, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie. No DVDs for my kids. They weren't interested in those.

Re: What Was Your Favorite Show
Gilligan's Island, hands down. Actually I think it was the one show where all the characters were fun and none were annoying to watch.

Re: What Was Your Favorite Show
I am of the Transformers generation (and as the Red Guy in Cow & Chicken says, "the original is always BEST!").
Other than that I did not watch much TV. When I was about 15-18, I did follow sports quite passionately, but even then the TV was basically a radio with a screen.

Gilligan's Island was great! They were all so good and compassionate to him even though he messed up week after week after week...
Is it on DVD yet? I'd LOVE to buy it!

Re: What Was Your Favorite Show
Laurel and Hardy, The Three Stooges, and The Munsters.
As far as cartoons, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner were my favorite.
Now, they are too violent for children to watch.

Actually thats not entirely true if you consider that all Bugs Bunny Cartoons were edited for violence back in the early 80's (I believe). Of course I'm only referring to the Bugs Bunny Road Runner that we viewed as kids which really are the only good ones anyway.

I miss the unedited cartoons, it really was a funner show before they cut it apart. Funny thing is that nobody really died on Bugs Bunny and if they did, they turned to angels or devils unlike other shows of the time such as Johnny Quest (which I loved), where characters actually died and sometimes, quite horrifically.
