What are your favorite movies?
Mine are:
Identity: Starring John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet. This show is a trillride the first time you see it. Very hard to understand what's actually going on right up until the end of the movie. Great show!
The Thing: 1980" version starring Kurt Russell. The special effects in this show are better than those in Terminator IMO and the overwhelming sense of claustrophobia and impending doom is incredible.
Hang 'em High: Classic Clint Eastwood western, great music, great plot. Likely the best of the spaghetti westerns.
The Road Warrior: Mel Gibson before he was a big star and doing the same heartthrob role time after time. Survival of the fittest in a time of utter chaos.
LOTR: Who doesn’t love these movies? Sure they have some slow spots but the imagination, storytelling, music, battles, etc., make it a true epic.
Forrest Gump: Starring Tom Hanks, Gary Sinese, Robin Wright Penn. Ya I have to admit it, this show made me happy, weepy, angered, hopeful, all at different times in one story. I believe it to be one of the most uplifting stories of our time.

My favorite movies seems to change rather allot but ones that I can watch over and over are:
Police Story: Jackie Chan at his finest, after making this he really didn't need to make any more films.
Spinal Tap
Apocolypse Now
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
LOTR: all of them, great films, can't wait to do the 3 special editions marathon.
Ronin: Best car chase ever?!?!
Once Upon a Time in China series.

I agree with the Ronin car chase but found the movie a little slow.

The Bourne Identity
A Perfect World
Ronin
The Matrix (first part is the best)
And a bunch of other movies..

Ya the Perfect World, wasn't that Kevin Costner and some kid?
That movie was decent.

Actually Wappy, I thought your favorite movies would have been more like Beaches, The Joy Luck Club, Bridges of Madisson County and Fried Green Tomatoes.

I'm not making fun of the chick flicks, just poking a ha ha in the direction of my good buddy wappy.
So you're a big fan of Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line, We Were Soldiers, Black Hawk Down, etc. Pretty good movies IMO.

I watch, but don't like, some of the post-Vietnam era movies which portray our soliders as a bunch of retarded pot heads without a plan. They did a fabulous job in light of the political climate.
Nope....I won't soapbox....but you know I love my GI's.....hehehehehe!
