I think Jim Carey got way too much exposure and I'm no longer a fan of his which is why I held off on A Series of Unfortunate Events. I only ever watched it because my daughter said it was good and she's usually right.
I do like Leslie Neilson as well but he's had just as many dumb roles as he has good ones. I am a big John Candy fan though, he's awesome!
I Loved John Candy; his laugh is still memorable to me! And that sweet, sweet face! I've seen "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" many times! "Uncle Buck", "The Great Outdoors", and "Canadian Bacon". I'm sure I missed some others...
A Series of Unfortunate Events was suprisingly good as well.

I fully expected to hate it which was prolly the reason I liked it so much. Whenever I fully expect something to be good I usually come out the other end disappointed.
