What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
What would you do if:
You went to your favorite Restaurant and Your Server 'had an attitude'; such as Rudeness, Hurrying you up with your order, constantly coming by asking 'how are you doing', hovering around listening to your conversation...feel free to think of other scenarios in this case.
I thought this would be fun and get some conversation going!

Re: What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
In case of overcrowding, I might consider asking: "Are you being paid per question you ask to customers?"

I LOVE that! This could be v-e-r-y interesting, funny, amusing, solvable for when we go out to eat, irritating, etc. I want to be at YOUR table, Vautrin!

It could be his first day, or something like that. I'd try to find out then, so it does not give him any problems. It is hard to do a good job, and in the waitering business eagerness to do well may actually lead to overcrowding.

Re: What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
Funny story about my first day as a waitress, my first job! I was so naive, no self-esteem, shy, and my heart was thundering when this wonderful man who owned the Hotel/Restaurant was interviewing me.
We sat at a table and were having coffee. Remember those paper creamers? Well, I'd never seen one before. I STILL remember trying to open it up, and the cream shot right up into the air! So funny now! The wonderful man hired me anyway!
I also remember a waitress who worked there just flew around the room serving people. Well, I wanted SO badly to make a good impression, I decided to emulate her and started running around the room, too! After witnessing this behaviour a few times, he called me aside and told me to not do that. When I asked him about the other waitress doing it, he just said he couldn't get her to stop.
I LOVED working for him...he was REALLY good to me, a real father-like figure! I always think of him with such gratitude and warmth!

Re: What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
What would you do if: you were having a GREAT day and someone you really cared about put you down in some way?
(1) would you take it in stride?
(2) would you say something in a kind way?
(3) would your anger get the best of you and make an immediate retort?
(4) other thoughts on this subject?

Re: What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
I'd be making a witty comment. Possibly about something stupid the "offender" has done...

Re: What Would You Do If - Deep Thought Game
That really depends on the remark the offender made.
For example if it is about my ignorance about one subject or the other, I would retort with something like: "That is true, but at least I don't make the mistake of ... [allusion to the offender's actions, without even naming him / her]."
They then know they need to stop.

Really depends on my mood that day. If I am feeling touchy then I would probably say something stupid and go somewhere and cry. If I was feeling pretty good emotionally, I would probably give back as good as I got and let them know their comment wasn't welcomed.
