There is a whole other business that involves purchasing domain names and holding onto them until someone wants to buy.

I noticed the other day that Lifesupporters.org was taken but there's still no site up for it. The funny thing is that all dot extensions were available when I created this site.

Of course I'd never pay a cent for a domain name, I'd just make up a new one personally.

I think thats why they sell for so much money.
The simpler the name, the easier to it is to remember, which results in more returned search queries, more traffic and higher dollars on advertising and product sales/promotion.
