In this case....it's not any smaller...but for longer links when posting.... it would work real well. You could also use it as a signature in another forum...till their mods caught it.

http://tinyurl.com/#toolbar is the main link. You can drag it up to your toolbar.

basicly it takes really long URLs and makes them smaller.
for instance, you could take a 30 - 40+ character URL and then it would make it like the one merika posted which is 17.

The one thing I don't like about it is it takes my google site importance rank as follows:
