Default Teaching my daughter to play chess

I picked up a chess board lately, a nice one thats smoked & clear glass board with smoked and clear glass pieces. It's nothing huge but it is one of the nicer chess sets I've come across.

I've decided to teach my daughter Dwoing how to play chess. Funny thing is, she ended up teaching me because I went after her pieces, full force, full fury immediately, had her King in big trouble early on, made a move to put her in Check Mate and, in the process of doing so, put my King in Peril to her Queen. Check Mate, match awarded to Dwoing :?

Funny thing parenting is, sometimes its hard to tell who's teaching who.

I've never played chess before, I have no idea how. It looks complicated.

It is a bit complicated because its a thinking game. Even when your on the offense, your still thinking defense. There really is no other game like it.

We know Dwoing is incredibly smart, your Chess game proved it...how many games does she have under her belt now?

My son likes to play chess too, he's not very good on strategy yet but he has all the moves down. If you weren't so far away, I'd have to challenge your daughter to play my son. Actually she would probably cream my son but give me some time, he's in training...ha, ha...

I wonder if we can find an online chess game?

Who are we kidding, we'd both prolly be coaching our kids as they play

You're probably right. I played online chess for awhile and won a few games, then I played a couple people that really knew how to play and got spanked bad. If I had more time to concentrate and learn, I would like to play again...maybe when I'm old and retired...not too far away.
