The problem is that young girls see pics of 'perfect' people and try to emulate that. Truth is...no one really looks like that at all.

That's exactly what I mean. the perfect girl, freshly epilated, with her hair just done, make up on perfectly, dressed in the latest trend, with the perfect complexion, with no fatigue marks does NOT exist.

To meet half of these critatia a girl need to have slept at least a week non stop and spent at least 4 hours in a beauty saloon.

That's prolly the root of the problem behind all youth related eating disorders.

Not that my daughter worries about stuff like that fortunately but I should show her the web site so she can show her friends who might be more inclined to try and look like the women in magazines. I have played with Photo Shop and know how easy it is to manipulate pictures.

Sure they exist. If they work in the beauty salloon, LOL.

I don't even have 3 hours per day for myself, and if I did, you can be sure I wouldn't spend it on shopping, or on my hair (maybe just one hour for the hair though), but reading or drawing, or walking or talking to my friends more.

I wonder though, if people spend time in the pursuits you mentioned, that they would grow beauty as a result of the activity itself? I am thinking of the eyes, gentle smiles and such.

I am curious to find that out, as you can often see by the wrinkles and all that, what kind of life a person has (had). Nowadays, with all the plastic surgery it is not so easily observable, but still.

I don't know Vautrin....when your face gets to the point where your wrinkles are not only telling a story....but becoming a NOVEL....it's time for a little plastic work!
