First time LAN
So I just found out that most fridays some of my friends have a LAN party so this past friday I went and played with them. We just played the MOH spearhead and breakthrough demos, but it was still fun.
The pictures explains(atleast to other gamers) how much less of a life I used to have.
Oh yes.
One of my friends stopped by after she got done working and brought us some crayons (cus she works at a restaraunt). here's a dramatic Reinactment. and the reason honor is spelled wrong is cus it was about 2AM and i was super tired from being busy. lol

If you have your rig in order it doesn't take more than a half hour to pack up.

local area network, meaning you put a bunch of computers in the same room, hook them up together, then play games against each other.
the mini pcs take like 5 mins to pack up, and can be put in a backpack, so that with a nice LCD just rocks.

Local Area Network.
It's gaming without the internet so you experience no lag as your directly connected to the back of another computer.

It takes me about 15 minutes to get everything of mine in order and out into my car, that's with my 19" monitor too.
I keep my cables pretty organized.

ditto.
I packed my tower, all gaming devices, and 5.1 speaker config in under a half hour. Now I have it organized where the longest part is getting the box ready.

I am not too fond of joystick and gamepads myself. After a few hours my hand or fingers hurt; if however I can use a mouse or keyboard I can go on for hours without a break.
I can use the mouse both left and right handed with high accuracy.
I barely play games on the computer against other human beings, unless chess via internet counts. But you don't need a LAN for that.
At my parents place we have a permanent LAN, with 6 (!) computers connected, including a server with approx. 140 Gb of music, to name but a thing.
