Doom 3

I can't believe its finally coming out. It will be interesting to see if HL 2 even bothers to release soon or if they wait until Christmas (which I think is likely).

Thoughts?

I was too young to take to the doom series, doesn't appeal to me I guess. Then again, I want pure strategy, the original one at least was run around and kill.

I never played the Doom games either. I did however, play RTCW and got scared p00pless in the catacombs level. Other games that gave me chills are Max Payne, parts of Tomb Raider and Blade of Darkness. I'd love to play a game that is built around scaring you silly so Doom 3 is the game for me.

Also, being a big fan of OFP and its various types of gameplay, Doom 3 offers up more than typical run and gun which appeals to me.

Well here I go with my first post. Doom 3 has been pre-oredered and ill get it within the week.

Supposed to be real nice and scary in the dark with surround sound. Scariest games Ive played are the Resident Evil games.

Now I just gotta find how to upload my Avatar.

HL-2 is trying to come out towards the of August. Rumors say September 30. I like the way id did it and just released it when it was done and didn't say much before that.

I think we'll have to hook up and try some MP when the game comes out. I have a decent rig (2.8 P4, 512 RDRAM, 80 + 40 Gig HD, Radeon 9600 Pro 128 MB) so I may be able to host a small server. I just hope my cable connection can take it.

I had to quit tonight as I'm near death and getting beaten by too many baddies. Not to mention, I'm scared senseless.
