The conservative Alliance Defense Fund said it will ask the justices for a stay of the decision until after the November vote.It hopes California will join the list of 26 states that already have constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage. In 2004, Massachusetts became the first, and so far only, state to legalize gay marriage.

i think thats DREADFUL!!!!

there is nothing. absolutely nothing wrong with same sex marriages. i think America need to catch up with the rest of the world and realize that in this day and age, same sex couples are a everyday normal thing.

When states tried to vote in favor of gay marriage the federal government stepped in and said they'd cut off all sorts of federal aid if they passed the bill. It's just the phase our government is in right now, I see a major government shift next election and the laws will probably be changed.

I thought most people prefer the federal government to stay out of state affiars? Especially the conservative breed (hey, that is half their election rhetoric, namely against Big Government)
