computer upgrades
I just ordered an extra 512MB ram for my computer in my attempt to make it better for as little money as possible. $45 was the cheapest i have seen in years, i hate the fact that good parts keep costing more.

Well more RAM certainly couldn't hurt. I recently added another 512 RD to my rig and it's made a huge difference. I don't think I'll ever own any less than 1 GB despite of what computer I run.

I have 384MB of SD ram on my computer. mine is becoming obsolete. I'd have a hard time finding the SD ram that I need now. I can only put in 1 more stick.
I need to upgrade a lot of things now.
video card - I have a rage now but I need a better one.
CD burner - the one I have is a sony and it's only a 4 speed. that was the best when i bought my puter!
motherboard - I have an asus motherboard but will need a better one to accomidate all the other upgrades I want.
hard drive - I have a fujitsu. I need one that's more capacity. I don't have any problems with it but it's only an 18 gig. I want more then that, a lot more.
I need to win the lottery then I can just go and by a whole new system! probably be cheaper! LOL

well, $1,000.00 when you have a family isn't small cash. I'll have to do it a little at a time. These are things I want, not need.
I also need to set kassandra's computer to the internet which means I need a network system and winXP on top of what I want for my puter.
there's always something new that we want for our computers. if it's not software, it's hardware.

Alkali goes to the computer shows and always finds great deals. You may want to check into your local area to find out about attending one of those. I know it includes a yearly membership....but it isn't very expensive.

computer shows are good, some just charge admission and not yearly fees.

ouch... my mom has a 15x burner on her comp and when mine was broken last year i couldn't stand it. fifteen (15!) minutes for burning a cd!? i almost died!
I don't remember how fast the one in my comp is, but I can Copy a CD to my computer and burn one in under 7 minutes. i think burning is like 52x, or maybe that was just the read...i don't know
either way...aaaw yeah 8)

the burner is the first thing i'm replacing that's for sure! it takes me anywhere from 20 to 1 hour to burn a cd. it's annoying and i just don't have the patience anymore. besides, it's not working right anyways so, i'll probably get a new one of those in a couple weeks.
can't wait!

Burn CD's when you go to bed.
BTW, for $700 or less you can buy a whole new system with CD burner, 80GB Hard Drive and no less than a 2.53 P4.

yes but everything inside is crappy generics. My parents bought one like that. It's ok for them because they don't do much other then msn or e-mail with it. I'm more concerned about what's inside then what the outside looks like. I paid 3,500.00 for my system when I bought it because of all the best that went inside of it. Now the best is better and I want to upgrade it all. I won't spend that kind | |
