Default Britney Spears files for Divorce

http://people.aol.com/people/article...556096,00.html

" Britney Spears has filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Kevin Federline, PEOPLE has confirmed. "

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wasn't she a role model for young girls just a few years ago? :?

She certainly was...

Including the saving her virginity for marriage issue - which was so big according to her, that she could not resist sleeping with J. Timberlake (if I recall correctly) before she married.

I won't comment on the lapse of judgement that made her decide to marry her soon to be ex-husband...

She's an idiot, plain and simple.

Hopefully we've seen the last of her.

Tkdlady, I disagree. It would be so good to hear that actors actually took acting classes, so at least their "performances" overall resembled acting. Natalie Portman anyone?

But to hear about their self-inflicted private life crap, hell no!

Britney just had her second baby with kevin in september. i don't know why she decided to marry this loser in the first place. she supported his arse from the get go. i guess she got tired of paying for everything and watching him be a womanizer. i hear now he's going for full cutody of the 2 kids with child support. he's a loser.

I like britney, always have. the only thing i didn't like was the way she dressed while performing. her fans are very young impressionable fans and it seems that she forgot about that along the way. hopefully the next time around, she'll put a little more clothes on. other then that, i think she's a good artist.

The dress was part of the performance, in the musical sense. That highly contributed to her popularity. If she were to use standard dresses, she would not even be noticed.

One problem with the music industry, is that you have to be goodlooking / kinky, to have even a shot at getting a contract at one of the major record labels. Intelligence and profoundness are more often than not major cons, instead of the other way around ...

Why are most videos so suggestive? I wonder if people actually listen to the songs with all that gyrating going on? Is it actually the song that sells, or the video which sells the songs?

Give me the old "Hee Haw" days when it was all about fun, silliness, and great Country songs!

It is the video that sells. The music has become interchangeable.

Star, do you remember those four sitting on the couch; Lulu Roman, Grampa Jones, Junior Samples, and Roy Clarke...did I get that right? What was that song they sang...

."Gloom, despair, and agony on me...
deep dark depression and excessive misery
If I had no bad luck I'd have no luck at all,
Gloom, despair, and agony on me

I hope I got the words somewhat right...they were the sorriest looking bunch on that couch I ever saw....

i don't remember all that. what sticks in my mind is the donkey and a woman dressed in one of those hillbilly dresses (i think it was pink and white checkers) and a man signing. they were regulars, there all the time. i don't remember any episodes at all. i was so young when that show was on. LOL
