I'm needing a lot of laughs to get myself back to the way I LOVE to live; so I checked out some books from the Library, two of which are titled:
George Burns "Third Time Around"
"Sunday Nights at Seven - The Jack Benny Story"
These are extremely funny books and I just LOVE the innocent humour of days gone by! These two gentlemen happened to be very close friends in life. George Burns used to make Jack Benny practically roll on the floor with laughter.
I watched a PBS special on Jack Benny yesterday and it was hilarious! Apparently one day George Burns had noticed a thread on Jack Benny's suit, picked it off and put it on his own suit, then sent it back to Jack the next day, which absolutely destroyed Jack in laughter. I roared with laughter myself at such a funny stunt!
Who else is reading something that they'd like to share?
